Frequently Asked Questions

A practical guide for students, parents, and first-time applicants.

These questions summarize the curriculum, admission rules, registration flow, examination cycle, and the final diploma route.

What is the objective of the Abhidhamma Diploma Level?

The course is designed to cultivate clear Abhidhamma understanding through disciplined reading, guided lectures, revision, and formal progression across three levels.

Which textbook shapes the curriculum?

The program is designed around Dr Nandamala’s Fundamental Abhidhamma, and the lecture rhythm, resource design, and level sequence are built to support that textbook.

How is the course organized?

The diploma level is divided into three stages: Level 1 studies Citta, Cetasika, and Pakinnaka; Level 2 studies Vithi, Vithimutta, and Rupa; Level 3 studies Samuccaya, Paccaya, and Kammatthana.

Which languages are offered?

The diploma is taught in Myanmar and English, but both streams follow the same academic plan and the same promotion-examination structure.

Who can join the Myanmar-language stream?

Myanmar-language applicants should have at least a Middle School level of education and be ready to study steadily throughout the six-month cycle.

Who can join the English-language stream?

English-language applicants should have completed the Government Abhidhamma three levels or hold another recognized Abhidhamma certificate from Myanmar, and they must be able to read and write English.

How does online registration work?

The student completes the exam registration form, selects the open session and language, then proceeds to payment. The system keeps the application number and order reference together, and payment-status emails can follow the order until it is confirmed.

What is the application number used for?

Each paid registration receives a unique application number. It becomes the student username and is also used on the downloadable exam pass.

How does the student portal become available after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, the system creates or updates the student account automatically, emails the student with the confirmed application details, and sends a secure password-setup link when the account is being opened for the first time.

Are the examinations online?

No. Teaching is online, but the promotion examinations are always taken in person at the assigned center.

Can a branch examination center be opened?

Yes. A branch center may be granted when there are 50 or more examinees and 3 teachers who graduated from University of Abhidhamma.

What happens after passing Level 3?

Successful completion of Level 3 completes the three-stage course, releases the Abhidhamma Diploma in the student portal, and keeps that final credential attached to the same academic record used for registrations, receipts, and results.

Can certificates and diplomas be verified publicly?

Yes. Each issued certificate or diploma carries a credential code, and that code can be checked on the public verification page to confirm the credential type, student name, level, session, and issue date.
